I'm Here to Talk to You About Ducts

So the second best movie of the year won Best Picture, but I knew nobody would pick District 9 anyway so I'm happy. It's good to see the best films actually be nominated, even if a few crappy ones slipped through the cracks.

Anyone else give a shit about all of that?

It was all predictable and the usual BS. Four hours of Hollywood jerking itself off.

Funny story, but it seems there is a scene in Hurt Locker where they play Gears of War on the 360. The year it takes place is 2004. 360 came out in 2005. GoW came out in 2006. God forbid Hollywood do any research.  Grin

Let alone the fact that we didn't wear ACUs in 2004.

Or that EOD doesn't work the way the movie says it does.

Totally didn't put two-and-two together on the GoW deal.  Cheesy

And yeah, I know it's still Hollywood unrealing everything, but it's still a good-ass movie.

Eh, one of the mothers of all anachronisms for me was the 2005 movie The Squid and the Whale, which takes place in the 1980s.  Someone has a poster of WWE wrestler The Hurricane on their wall.

...eeeeyeah.
